Gorilla Waterproof Caulk & Seal 100% Silicone Sealant* is a versatile product designed to seal out water, air, and moisture, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including kitchen, bath, windows, doors, automotive, marine, plumbing, gutters, and more. This long-lasting sealant not only provides a reliable barrier against the elements, but it is also mold and mildew resistant, ensuring it won't yellow, shrink, or crack over time.

Preparation for use is straightforward – all surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, grease, oil, and old sealant. For optimal performance, the sealant should be applied at temperatures above 40°F (4°C). To begin, simply unscrew the cap, fold and screw on the nozzle, and cut it to the desired bead size. Apply the sealant, pushing the bead ahead of the nozzle, and immediately smooth the bead before a skin forms.

One of the standout features of this Gorilla Waterproof Caulk & Seal is its ability to withstand water exposure in as little as 30 minutes, based on a 3/16" bead at 70°F (21°C) and 50% humidity. This makes it an ideal choice for projects that require a quick turnaround or exposure to water. For gaps larger than 1/2", it is recommended to use a backer rod.

To open the product, simply cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle to the desired bead size and puncture the inner foil seal. When storing the sealant, be sure to replace the cap tightly to prevent the material from curing. It is recommended to store the product in a cool, dry location. If the nozzle needs to be reused, remove any cured sealant from it.

This Gorilla Waterproof Caulk & Seal is suitable for use on a wide variety of surfaces, including stainless steel, fixtures, countertops, laminate, porcelain, sinks, showers, tubs, tiles, granite, ceramic, painted surfaces, wood, vinyl, metal, aluminum, trim, siding, cables, glass, drywall, stone, marble, gutters, and plumbing. However, it is important to note that it should not be used on wet, damp, frozen, or contaminated surfaces, nor is it suitable for underwater applications, aquariums, brick, masonry, cementitious materials, or metals sensitive to corrosion, including brass and galvanized metals.

For general automotive or marine applications, this sealant can be used, but it is not recommended for use under the hood or with direct gasoline exposure. The service temperature range for this product is -40°F (-40°C) to 350°F (176°C).

In the event of a spill or cleanup, wet sealant can be wiped off immediately with a dry cloth. Isopropyl alcohol may also be used, following the solvent manufacturer's instructions.
